The Billy F. Brown, Jr. Memorial Outdoor Classroom

was dedicated Friday, August 22. Former much loved MA kindergarten teacher, Theresa Brown, along with her daughters, Courtney & Callie (both MA alums), were honored with roses and a balloon release in Billy's memory at mid-field before the Indianola football game. The outdoor classroom will serve all students at Manchester Academy in making learning FUN!!! Let's just let it cool off a little bit first.

 You can purchase your textbook online or from the Holmes Book Store. You will need BOTH of these books for Comp I and Comp II.

  ONLINE GRADING INSTRUCTIONS

User Names and Temporary Passwords for Grades 7-12 were sent home yesterday with a "Directions to Access Grades" handout. User Names are the same as last year. The new Temporary Password is mavs2014.

 2014-15 UNIFORM CHANGES

 

***ALL CHANGES ARE OPTIONAL FOR THIS YEAR***

***ALL OLD UNIFORMS ARE STILL ACCEPTABLE***

 

  • 7th-12th Grade Boys have the choice of a blue & white pin-striped long sleeve button down oxford shirt for Wednesday dress day.
  •  7th-12th Grade Girls have the choice of a short sleeve white button down blouse for Wednesday dress day. (Fall/Spring)
  • 7th-12th Grade Girls have the choice of a 3/4 length sleeve white button down blouse with a tie for Wednesday dress day. (Winter)
  • These new OPTIONAL dress items listed above will become mandatory in the 2016-17 school year.
  • Parker Uniforms will be using a new MA monogram once our old inventory is sold this summer.
  • Uniforms with the old monogram can be worn until the garment is outgrown or wears out.
  • Chaco sandals are acceptable in the Fall & Spring for ALL students.
  • Leather riding boots are acceptable for 7th-12th Grade Girls.
  • Warm-up suits will no longer be worn to school on game days for team members.
